Self-Publishing Review

The Self-Publishing Review just posted their review of The Arrival! Here’s what they have to say:
“A brilliantly spun tale…The Arrival is one of the best fantasy novels I’ve read this year, harking back to Christopher Paolini’s Eragon and George R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones. 5 Stars.” – SPR

A Successful Book Signing

I just wanted to thank everyone that came to the book signing on Saturday at Kidd Drug. It was quite the turnout. I appreciate everyone’s support, and I had a great time seeing those of you I haven’t caught up with in awhile. Of course, I would be remiss if I didn’t give a shout out to Chad Eldred and Jeremy Quimby for their help with logistics and sales. Mrs. Martens was also a great help in setting everything up and making sure everything went smoothly. Plus, she graciously allowed me to clutter up her store with stacks of books!
Finally, thank you to everyone who came to get a book, obtain my lowly signature, or just to chat. You all helped make The Arrival’s signing a success!
For those of you who wanted to pick up a book but couldn’t make it that day, The Arrival is still available on amazon.com. Also, there are a limited number of signed copies available at Kidd Drug in Fairview. Thanks everyone!

Science Fiction Novella Progress

Hello everyone! I thought I’d give an update on my latest project. Unfortunately, as of yet, it doesn’t have a title. (The Arrival was the same way. I finished the manuscript before I nailed down a title). The good news is that I finally managed to finish the first draft yesterday, and I’m sending out copies to my alpha readers tomorrow.
With any luck, I’ll have the novella ready for publication within a month. To give you a little teaser, the novella is the first in a sequence of novellas called The Shrike Chronicles, which is set in a brand new sci-fi universe. I’ll continue posting updates as progress continues.
